Representatives of academic and non-academic institutions, research managers, international office staff, researchers, and stakeholders from science, technology and innovation organisations across Egypt are invited to join the MSCA Doctoral Networks Webinar for Institutions from Egypt, which will take place online on 28 June 2026.
Organised by MSCA-GLOPOL project, the webinar will focus on the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Doctoral Networks 2026 Call, one of the flagship funding schemes under Horizon Europe supporting doctoral training and international, interdisciplinary, and intersectoral cooperation.
MSCA Doctoral Networks aim to train a new generation of creative, entrepreneurial and innovative doctoral candidates, equipping them with scientific and transferable skills while promoting mobility and collaboration across sectors and countries. The scheme supports doctoral programmes implemented by international consortia and offers opportunities for universities, research organisations, companies and other non-academic actors to participate in cutting-edge research and training activities.
As an Associated Country to Horizon Europe, Egypt participates in the MSCA Doctoral Networks scheme on equal terms with EU Member States and other Associated Countries. This enables Egyptian institutions to join international consortia as beneficiaries and strengthens opportunities for international cooperation, doctoral training, and researcher mobility.
The webinar will begin with opening remarks and an overview of Horizon Europe opportunities by Dr. Amr Radwan, Head of the Research & Innovation Management Department at Academy of Scientific Research and Technology (ASRT). This will be followed by a dedicated presentation on the MSCA Doctoral Networks 2026 Call, including practical guidance and a question-and-answer session delivered by Dr. Tuğba Arslan, MSCA-GLOPOL Regional Liaison Officer. The programme will also feature an experience-sharing session and closing remarks by Dr. Nermin Dessouky, Executive Director of the EU Liaison Office – Research and Innovation at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The event will be held online and conducted in English.
