European Commission Launches €593 Million MSCA Doctoral Networks 2026 Call

The European Commission has officially opened the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Doctoral Networks 2026 call for proposals.

With a total budget of €593 million, the call is expected to fund more than 130 projects across all scientific disciplines and support the training and skills development of over 2,100 doctoral candidates worldwide.

MSCA Doctoral Networks enable universities, research organisations, research infrastructures, businesses (including SMEs), and other socio-economic actors from around the world to join forces and implement innovative doctoral training programmes. The scheme aims to equip doctoral candidates with both scientific excellence and transferable skills while fostering international, interdisciplinary, and intersectoral collaboration.

To support organisations interested in applying, the European Commission has released a dedicated article on the opening of the call and updated its guidance materials with practical tips to help applicants develop strong and competitive proposals.
