Exploring Horizon Europe MSCA Opportunities: MSCA Staff Exchanges Webinar for China

The MSCA Staff Exchanges Webinar for China was successfully held on 26 March 2026 online, bringing together members of the international research and innovation community to explore opportunities under Horizon Europe. Organised in close cooperation with the MSCA-GLOPOL project, EURAXESS China, and the MSCA Alumni Association China Chapter, the online event attracted strong interest. The audience was predominantly from academic institutions, while participation from the medical and research agency sectors also demonstrated a high level of engagement.

The one-hour webinar aimed to raise awareness of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA), with particular emphasis on the Staff Exchanges (SE) action. Participants received a comprehensive overview of how Chinese organizations can participate in MSCA consortia as associated partners to host European researchers and second their own staff. The programme combined practical guidance on participation rules and co-funding mechanisms with strategic insights into global knowledge circulation.

The event served as an important capacity-building and introductory event for newcomers to Horizon Europe, fostering cross-sectoral networking and laying the groundwork for future MSCA collaborations involving participating organisations from China and Europe.

The presentation: Marie Skłodowska-Curie Staff Exchanges (SE) for institutions in China, by Dr. Corina Georgeta Barna, MSCA National Contact Point for Romania & Professor at the University of Life Sciences “King Mihai I” (USVT), is available here.
