MSCA-GLOPOL at the XII ANUIES International Conference 2026 in Mexico: Strengthening Talent and Global Networks – 10 November 2026

On 10 November 2026, MSCA-GLOPOL will participate in the XII ANUIES International Conference 2026, held at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) in Mexico City under the theme “Mexico: A Higher Education Hub between the Global North and South.” Bringing together representatives from higher education institutions, the conference will offer a valuable platform to discuss international research cooperation, talent mobility and the circulation of knowledge across regions.

As part of the conference programme, Viktoria Bodnarova, MSCA-GLOPOL Regional Liaison Officer, will deliver a one-hour session in Spanish titled “Strengthening Talent and Global Networks: MSCA Opportunities for Mexican Higher Education Institutions.” The session will take place from 12:00 to 13:00 (Mexico City time).

The session will provide a practical overview of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) under Horizon Europe, with a particular focus on two funding schemes relevant to Mexican universities: Doctoral Networks (DN) and Staff Exchanges (SE). It will explain the rules of participation, funding mechanisms and strategic benefits for Mexican institutions, highlighting opportunities for doctoral training, international staff mobility, cross-sectoral joint research and consortium building.

Designed for vice-rectors, research directors, heads of international relations offices (ORI), and extension and liaison offices, the session will offer strategic guidance to strengthen institutional participation in these highly competitive calls. It will also provide an opportunity for participants to ask questions and explore how Mexican universities can engage in international research partnerships.

Participants will gain practical insights into attracting international talent, strengthening graduate programmes through European partnerships, and benefiting from scientific mobility and the exchange of academic and technical staff.

MSCA-GLOPOL warmly invites Mexican higher education institutions attending the conference to join the session, explore the opportunities offered by MSCA and consider future applications and international research collaborations.
