MSCA-GLOPOL at Horizon Europe information events in Egypt

MSCA-GLOPOL participated in two Horizon Europe information events held on 14 and 15 October 2026 at Alexandria University and the American University in Cairo (AUC), respectively.

The events were organised by EURAXESS Africa, in collaboration with the EU Liaison Office for Research and Innovation at Egypt’s Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, to raise awareness of Horizon Europe funding opportunities and strengthen international research cooperation following Egypt’s association to the programme.

The two events attracted considerable interest, with a total of 400 registered participants and more than 245 attendees joining on site, reflecting the strong interest of Egypt’s research community in Horizon Europe opportunities.

Representing MSCA-GLOPOL, Dr. Tuğba Arslan delivered online presentations providing an overview of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA).

The presentations highlighted opportunities for Egyptian researchers and institutions, with particular emphasis on Doctoral Networks, Staff Exchanges, Postdoctoral Fellowships and international research collaboration.

Through its participation, MSCA-GLOPOL contributed to raising awareness of MSCA opportunities and supporting stronger research links between Egypt and Europe.

The presentation delivered during the events is available here.
