Deep dive into MSCA Doctoral Networks: Webinar for China took place on 23 April 2026

The Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Doctoral Networks Webinar, held on 23 April 2026, successfully engaged a diverse cohort of participants. Attendees included senior academics, such as Deans and Associate Professors, alongside a significant number of PhD researchers and postdocs from prestigious institutions like Tsinghua, Wuhan, and Fudan Universities.

Led by expert Dr. Corina Georgeta Barna, the session achieved its primary objective of clarifying the role of Chinese institutions as Associated Partners within Horizon Europe. Key outcomes included:

  • Enhanced Understanding: Participants gained technical clarity on hosting European PhD candidates for secondments and navigating national co-funding mechanisms.
  • Consortium Building: Practical guidance was provided on drafting competitive proposals and identifying European partners.
  • Strategic Networking: The event fostered a bridge between Chinese R&D stakeholders and EU support mechanisms, strengthening the foundation for future China-EU research collaborations.
