On 16 April 2026, MSCA-GLOPOL project and EURAXESS Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) co-organised a workshop on international visibility and Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Staff Exchanges in Tucumán, Argentina, in partnership with the Secretariat of Science and Technology (SICyT), the European Union Delegation in Argentina, and IDEP Tucumán. The event featured the participation of an expert from the Excellent Science and Talent Recruitment Area at the University of A Coruña (Spain), a partner with extensive experience in MSCA proposal preparation. The session brought together researchers and institutional representatives from Tucumán, a region with promising research capacity but no current participation in Horizon Europe projects.
The workshop provided practical guidance on positioning institutions and researchers as attractive partners for MSCA Staff Exchanges consortia. Participants learned concrete strategies for building international visibility, identifying European partners, and understanding consortium dynamics. The session also addressed a critical gap: while MSCA Staff Exchanges represents 72% of Argentina’s Horizon Europe participation at national level, Tucumán’s research community has not yet accessed these opportunities.
The event was particularly well received, with participants appreciating the hands-on approach to visibility strategies and partnership building. This activity reinforces the commitment of the MSCA-GLOPOL project to broadening access to MSCA Staff Exchanges and strengthening global research collaboration networks.
The presentation delivered during the workshop is available here.
