The Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Info Session at the Manipal Institute of Technology Research Conclave 2026 was successfully held in Bengaluru, bringing together members of the regional research and innovation community to explore opportunities under the Horizon Europe Framework Programme for Research and Innovation.
Organised in close cooperation with the Manipal Institute of Technology, the Marie Curie Alumni Association India Chapter, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Bangalore Section, the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture, and the MSCA GLOPOL project, the onsite event attracted strong interest.
The audience was predominantly composed of participants from academic and research institutions, while the presence of industry and innovation stakeholders also reflected a high level of engagement.
The session aimed to raise awareness of the MSCA, with a particular emphasis on fostering institutional cooperation through key instruments such as Doctoral Networks (DN) and Staff Exchanges (SE). Participants received a comprehensive overview of MSCA schemes, participation modalities, and opportunities for European Union–India collaboration.
The programme combined policy insights on EU research and innovation frameworks with practical guidance on building institutional partnerships, engaging in collaborative proposals, and strengthening long-term research linkages.
The event served as an important capacity-building and introductory platform for institutions with limited prior engagement in the MSCA, fostering cross-sectoral networking and laying the groundwork for future EU–India research collaborations aligned with its global objectives.
The presentation delivered during the event is available below:
