The Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Staff Exchanges (SE) Webinar for China will take place on 26 March 2026 at 16:00 (China Standard Time) / 09:00 (Central European Time).
The event will provide resources for researchers, universities, and private sector stakeholders from China interested in MSCA under Horizon Europe.
The primary objective is to enhance the participation of Chinese institutions in MSCA consortia. While Chinese organizations are not automatically eligible for direct European Union (EU) funding, they are highly encouraged to participate as Associated Partners. This allows them to host European researchers and second their own staff to Europe using their own or national co-funding. The webinar aims to clarify these participation rules and highlight the strategic benefits of global knowledge transfer.
The keynote speaker at the event is Dr. Corina Georgeta Barna, a distinguished MSCA National Contact Point (NCP) for Romania with 18 years of expertise in EU funding. A veteran of the European research landscape, Dr. Barna serves as an Human Resources Strategy for Researchers (HRS4R) assessor for the European Commission and specializes in high-level international training. Having led MSCA workshops across Asia and the Middle East, she excels at navigating complex EU participation rules to build successful global research consortia.
