The MIT Research Conclave 2026, hosted by Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT) in collaboration with the MCAA India Chapter, is a research-focused event aimed at strengthening awareness of European research opportunities and fostering EU–India research cooperation. The programme opens with institutional welcome addresses from MIT leadership and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Bangalore Section, followed by a session introducing the Marie Curie Alumni Association (MCAA) and the activities of its India Chapter.
A dedicated presentation on the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) and the MSCA GLOPOL initiative will highlight funding opportunities under Horizon Europe, including institutional pathways to participate in programmes such as Doctoral Networks (DN) and Staff Exchanges (SE). In addition, science and technology representatives from France, Italy, and Switzerland will present the European research landscape and opportunities for collaboration with Indian institutions.
The afternoon sessions will further emphasise EU–India research engagement, featuring testimonials from MSCA and Erasmus Mundus fellows who will share experiences of international research mobility and collaboration with European institutions. Keynote presentations on research methodology, academic publishing, and developing competitive research proposals and grant applications will support institutions and researchers interested in participating in international research programmes. Through these activities and networking opportunities, the conclave contributes to the objectives of the MSCA GLOPOL initiative by strengthening institutional awareness of MSCA, promoting the European research ecosystem, and facilitating new partnerships between Indian institutions and European research organisations.
