The MSCA-GLOPOL project (Grant Agreement No 101202507) is a Horizon Europe Coordination and Support Action (HORIZON-MSCA-2024-INCO-01) funded by the European Union and managed by the European Research Executive Agency (REA). As such, we are committed to processing personal data in compliance with applicable EU data protection law, in particular the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679, “GDPR”), and for data processed by the Granting Authority, Regulation (EU) 2018/1725.
1. Who we are
The MSCA-GLOPOL project is implemented by a consortium of beneficiaries, consisting of PRACSIS (Coordinator) and Marie Curie Alumni Association (MCAA) (Beneficiary).
For the purposes of this website’s operation, PRACSIS, as the coordinator and primary operator of the website, acts as the main data controller responsible for the processing of your personal data collected via the Website. All beneficiaries adhere to this policy regarding any personal data they handle in relation to the project.
2. How we use and keep your information
When you visit our website
We use technical systems to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. This information is processed in an aggregate way, which does not identify you personally. The data may include:
- Your IP address (anonymised where possible)
- Browser type and version
- Operating system
- Referrer URL (the website you came from)
- Pages visited on our Website and the time spent on them

Why we collect this: To maintain website security and functionality, and to understand general usage patterns for improvement purposes.

How long we keep it: Technical logs are automatically deleted after 2 months.
When you subscribe to our Flashnotes (future functionality)
When we implement flashnotes functionality, we will collect your email address to send you project updates containing information on MSCA opportunities, project results, and related activities.
Why we collect this: To provide you with updates about MSCA opportunities and project developments.
Legal basis: Your explicit consent under Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR.
How to withdraw consent: You can unsubscribe at any time by:

Third-party services: We will use a professional email distribution service to send Flashnotes. When we implement this feature, we will update this policy to specify which service provider we use and provide a link to their privacy policy.
How long we keep it: Until you unsubscribe or until 5 years after the project ends (31 May 2033).
When you register for our events (future functionality)
When you register for our events (both online and in-person), we will ask for:
- Name
- Organisation
- Email address
- Dietary requirements (for in-person events)
- Additional security information (for events in official buildings)
Why we collect this: To process your registration, provide event logistics, send related information, and meet security requirements of hosting venues.
Legal basis: Legitimate interests – we have a legitimate interest in organising events and maintaining records for our funders.
How we share this data:
- Your name and organisation may appear in event programmes
- Security details may be shared with hosting institutions (embassies, EU institutions)
- Event logistics providers may receive necessary information for catering, access, or technical support
How long we keep it: During the project and for 5 years after the project ends (31 May 2033) as evidence of activities for our funders.
Information on relevant stakeholders
We may gather contact details (name, email address, organisation) of relevant stakeholders from publicly available sources to invite you to participate in project activities and to disseminate project results effectively.
Why we collect this: To engage with the research community and promote MSCA opportunities.
Legal basis: Legitimate interests – we have a legitimate interest in achieving our project objectives and disseminating results.
How we use this data: Only for project-related invitations and communications. We will not share this data with third parties except as described in this policy.
How long we keep it: Until the end of the project (31 May 2028).
3. How we share your information
We do not sell or rent your personal data to third parties. Your data may be shared in the following circumstances:
Within the MSCA-GLOPOL consortium: Limited personal data may be shared between PRACSIS and MCAA for project implementation and management, strictly on a need-to-know basis.
With service providers: We may use third-party service providers (e.g., website hosting, analytics, email distribution, survey platforms) who process data on our behalf under strict contractual obligations.
With the Granting Authority and EU bodies: As an EU-funded project, we may be required to share information with the European Research Executive Agency (REA), the European Commission, and other relevant EU institutions for monitoring, auditing, and evaluation purposes.
Legal obligations: We may disclose your information if required by law or to protect our rights or ensure public safety.
Public dissemination: Non-sensitive project results will be publicly disseminated to promote the action, but this will not include personal data that would compromise your privacy unless you have explicitly consented.

Personal data will primarily be processed within the European Union (EU) and European Economic Area (EEA). If, in exceptional circumstances, personal data needs to be transferred to third countries for project purposes (e.g., collaboration with Regional Liaison Officers or survey participants in targeted geographies), we will ensure adequate safeguards are in place, including:
- Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission
- Ensuring the recipient country has an adequacy decision from the European Commission
