Date: Wednesday, February 25, 2026
Time: 5:00 PM – 6:15 PM (JST / Asia/Tokyo)
Location: Online (Zoom Webinar)
Main Organiser: MSCA-GLOPOL
About the Event
This webinar will provide practical guidance on how Japanese institutions and researchers can access funding through two key actions under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA):
- Doctoral Networks (DN): Funding for international programmes that train PhD candidates through partnerships between academic and non-academic sectors.
- Staff Exchanges (SE): Funding for short-term international and inter-sectoral secondments of research, technical, and administrative staff.
The session is particularly timely in light of Japan’s association with Horizon Europe (Pillar 2), which enables Japanese entities to participate as eligible partners from an associated country starting in 2026. Although the current agreement does not cover Pillar 1, important spillover effects are expected, making this an excellent moment to strengthen EU–Japan research collaboration.
