The European Commission (EC) has officially announced the results of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Postdoctoral Fellowships 2025 call, marking a historic milestone for EU research and innovation funding.
This year’s call attracted 17,066 applications, the highest number ever received for any funding action in the 40-year history of the EU Research and Innovation Framework Programme. Of these, 16,836 proposals were deemed eligible and evaluated, and 1,610 projects were selected for funding, corresponding to a 9.6% success rate.
The selected fellows represent nearly 80 nationalities and will carry out their research in 45 countries across Europe and beyond, further strengthening Europe’s position as a global hub for scientific excellence and talent.
To support transparency and dissemination, the European Commission has published an in-depth article featuring interactive charts on the MSCA website and shared the key figures.
