MSCA Staff Exchanges webinar for Brazilian institutions

The GLOPOL-MSCA project in collaboration with the Brazilian National Council for State Funding Agencies (CONFAP) is organising a webinar on 10 February 2026 at 10:00 (Brasilia time) specifically for research institutions from Brazil to raise awareness about the strategic opportunities offered by the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Staff Exchanges (SE). The primary goal is to encourage greater participation from these countries by demonstrating how international mobility can enhance institutional research capacity. A  focus will be  put on the possibility to be exceptionally funded by the European Commission, and also CONFAP co-funding call to support local researchers participating in MSCA SE projects.

Through a practical and evidence-based approach, the webinar aims to:

  • Promote Participation: Clarify, in local language, the eligibility and funding rules for organisations from high income non-associated third countries,
  • Share Real-Life Experiences: Utilise testimonials and case studies to provide “hands-on” insights into the benefits and challenges of staff exchanges, moving beyond theoretical guidelines to practical implementation.
  • Foster Global Partnerships: Encourage institutions to join international consortia that address global challenges, aligning with the priority of creating a “Stronger Europe in the world” through high-quality knowledge diffusion.
  • Expand Outreach: Reach a broader range of interested entities -including universities and private sector organisations – to strengthen the links between the European Research Area (ERA) and the Brazilian research ecosystem.

The MSCA-GLOPOL Project is organising this webinar to present the MSCA call, which funds four-year research and innovation projects implemented through short-term international and inter-sectoral staff exchanges involving researchers and innovation staff from participating organisations.

The webinar, which will be held in Portuguese, will also provide an opportunity to learn more about the co-funding opportunities offered by the National Council of State Funding Agencies (CONFAP). In addition, participants will hear about the experience of researcher Thiago Mota Cardoso from the Federal University of Amazonas (UFAM), who received support from the Amazonas State Research Support Foundation (FAPEAM) to fund his activities within the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Staff Exchanges (MSCA SE) project “EDGES”
