MSCA-GLOPOL at the “AI Bridge: Academia Meets Industry” event on 7th November 2025 at the Europa House in Tokyo

MSCA-GLOPOL will participate in the “AI Bridge: Academia Meets Industry; Connecting International Researchers and the Japanese AI Start-up Scene” event that takes place at Europa House in Tokyo, on 7th November 2025.

The conference brings together around 100 participants including academics, startups, enterprises and professionals from the sector. The program features several sessions and presentations covering some of the most relevant topics in artificial intelligence, including:

  • AI Privacy & Safety
  • Data Format & Data Flow
  • Innovative AI & Technology Transfer

The MSCA-GLOPOL Regional Liaison Officer will deliver a presentation showing how the Horizon Europe funding programme and – within that – the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) place a strong emphasis on collaboration between the academic and the non-academic sectors, including industry. This inter-sectoral mobility is a central principle of MSCA and aims to boost innovation, enhance researchers´skills, and improve long-term employability. Several MSCA initiatives specifically encourage partnerships between academic research institutions and industry partners, including small and medium-size enterprises (SMEs).

At the end of the sessions, a networking moment with refreshments – kindly offered by the Science Desk of the Delegation of the European Union to Japan – will take place, designed to encourage dialogue and the creation of new connections among participants. During this networking session ten Tokyo-based AI startup booths will welcome attendees for in-depth engagement.
