MSCA-GLOPOL Chicago workshop: MSCA insights and feedback session

The MSCA-GLOPOL project is pleased to announce an in-person feedback workshop with research administrators and staff in the Chicago area as part of the Marie Curie Alumni Association – North America Chapter’s first-ever continent-wide in-person event.

What to expect

This workshop is specifically designed for research administrators in the Chicago area who are responsible for international research collaboration with knowledge of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA). As an official European Union project, MSCA-GLOPOL aims to gather on-the-ground feedback to better help the European Commission plan future MSCA calls.

The session will focus on:

  • Understanding challenges and opportunities with the MSCA programmes
  • Gathering feedback for improvement
  • Sharing success stories and experiences
  • Exploring MSCA actions opportunities, including Doctoral Networks, Staff Exchanges, and COFUND
  • Gathering North American perspectives to complement global feedback on MSCA programmes

We want to hear the good, the bad, and the ugly. Alongside you, MCAA-NA members who are current and former MSCA Postdoctoral Fellows will be part of the conversation. In addition, GLOPOL will highlight the various MSCA actions, specifically Doctoral Networks, Staff Exchanges, and COFUND, to understand what makes these schemes attractive or suitable for North American-European collaboration. This diverse audience will ensure a wide breadth of input on experiences with mobility and international collaboration across North American and European institutions is heard.

Please note that due to space constraints and to ensure thoughtful discussion, the workshop will be by invitation only. While we expect those signing up to be relevant stakeholders, as a formality, we will review sign-ups and then follow up with a formal approval. We therefore kindly ask you to block your calendar now and to wait for our official invitation, which will follow shortly.
